Starting Horses under Saddle

Heather will start horses under saddle, regardless of the intended discipline for the horse. Whether the intention is for the horse to jump competitively or pleasure ride under a western saddle on the trail, the basics are the same. She uses ground work as the foundation of her training and begins backing the horse and riding when she feels the horse is relaxed, confident and comfortable. |
Heather’s goal is to create an enjoyable partnership. She encourages involvement from the horse’s owner and is happy to explain her process as she goes along or to give the owner lessons along the way.
